The Travel electric outboard motor is a superior alternative to rowing boats, but it also has its own e.g. as an auxiliary engine for sailboats and rubber boats.

The efficiency of the electric motor is significantly better than a traditional combustion engine of similar power. As a twisting electric engine power transmitted to the water, the new Travel is comparable in thrust to a 3-horsepower gasoline outboard engine. In reality, in normal use, you will hardly notice the difference in performance even with 5-6 horsepower 1-cylinder gasoline outboard engines. The torque of the electric motor enables the use of large-diameter and variable-pitch propellers, which guarantees thrust and efficiency in its own class.

It is difficult to compare the Torqeedo battery outboard motor with traditional electric outboard motors - to that extent, the construction differs from them except for the electric operation. Due to its performance and ease of use, Torqeedo Travel is above all an alternative to traditional gasoline outboard engines. The motor is carbon brushless (with neodymium magnets) and the sulfur lengths are fixed (S and L).
With Torqeedo, you don't have to give up anything or make compromises for the sake of silence and emission-free use. Vice versa. The comfort of use of Torqeedo Travel models is unprecedented. Torqeedo Travel is almost maintenance-free and does not require fiddling with fuels or oils. For transportation, the engine can easily be divided into two parts (battery and sulfur with steering handle). In addition, the continuous GPS connection combined with the LCD screen of the control handle keeps the user up to date with e.g. speed and remaining battery capacity.
