Ukonvasara (Ukko's Hammer) or Konkonkirves is a very powerful Finnish symbol. The Finns' equivalent of the Scandinavian Thor's hammer. With his weapon Ukko, the overgod dispensed justice and caused lightning strikes. As a symbol, the Thunder Hammer is ambiguous: with its edge down, it resembles a boat. When turned up, it looks like a hammer, and horizontally it resembles an axe.
