A sustainable and safe leader. Nokia's i3 holds up in heavy rain and cool conditions. Its Nordic cool silica compound is adapted to northern conditions. The tyre retains its grip properties on cold spring mornings and in the cool weather of early autumn, even when temperatures drop below 10 degrees Celsius. The Nokia i3 is an inside-outside tyre with different inner and outer sidewalls, a common feature of UHP tyres. The stiff shoulder area on the outside and the wide grooves on the inside improve the tyre's handling and stabilise the ride. The tyre has three strong main grooves and lateral grooves opening to the side, which give the tyre excellent water transfer properties. The acoustically optimised tread pattern and groove noise grooves muffle the driving noise to a low level. Three shoulder blocks of different lengths are randomly distributed around the circumference of the tyre, eliminating unpleasant noise peaks in any resonance zone. The stiffnesses of the pattern pieces have been harmonised by using slats of different depths. This Variable Dimension Sipes (VD) technology achieves improved wet grip, reduced noise levels, low rolling resistance and a uniform wear pattern. The eco-friendliness of the Nokia i3 is underlined by two features. Like other Nokian brand tyres, it is manufactured entirely without harmful, high-aromatic oils. The tyre is economical; it rolls smoothly and consumes little fuel. A wear indicator shows the depth of the main grooves in millimetres. The infield makes it easier to fit the tyres after winter storage: the position of the tyre under the car can be marked on the diagram. The Mudstopper sealing ring protects the rim of 14 and 15-inch tyres from contamination.
