Nankang has designed its new SW-8 tyre to overcome even the most difficult Finnish winter conditions. With by far the highest number of studs in its price class and a new unique long-tested friction compound in Ivalo, it offers unrivalled grip in all winter conditions.
Best ice grip with a high stud count
The Nankang SW-8 achieves its excellent ice grip by using up to 70% more studs than a normal studded tyre. The law allows for 50 studs per metre of tread circumference, but Nankang, with the help of top Finnish experts, has been able to optimise the studding to provide maximum grip without damaging the asphalt any more than a normal tyre. This has given Nankang special permission to use 70% more studs to give you even better grip.
Top Finnish pins and machines
The Nankang SW-8 uses top-quality Tikkan pins made in Finland to ensure the best grip. The studding is done immediately after manufacture in the factory with the best Finnish A-Technology studding robots in the industry, fully automatic, to achieve the optimum finish.
Silent grip
Tyre noise has been minimised at Nankang to a very low level. Tests at Test World in Ivalo have shown the tyre to be one of the quietest studded tyres on the market. The Nankang SW-8 combines excellent quiet driving comfort with the high number of studs for top-class ice grip and the excellent snow grip provided by the new friction compound.
