A jelly made from Saskatoon berries picked from a North Karelian berry farm, which is suitable as a side dish for many mild dishes
The Saskatoon berry originates from Canada, where the Indians used it in a variety of ways already in the 16th century, making e.g. winter teacher "pemmeka". The healthy Saskatoon berry arrived in Finland in 1995, and the berry has been cultivated on the Koivuselka farm since 2000. cherry aroma, bitter almond aroma and faint blueberry too. High in fiber and energy, Saskatoon contains a lot of flavonoids and, compared to other berries, e.g. selenium, potassium and calcium are abundant in the berry.
