Biola's RootgrowTM mycorrhiza is a mycorrhiza mixture suitable for the majority of garden and houseplants*. Mycorrhiza is a symbiosis formed by a plant's root and a fungus, thanks to which the plant's root surface area increases. In this way, the plant's supply of water and nutrients is enhanced and the plant is better able to withstand various stress situations, for example drought and diseases.
The plants can be planted as seedlings or sown directly in Yrttmaa.
Biola's Yrttimaa contains growing medium moss, which increases the airiness of the growing medium and thus improves the well-being of the roots. Herb soil also contains biochar. Biochar and moss are able to bind water to themselves and release it slowly for the plants to use.
