The new AirPods take the experience of using wireless headphones to another level. You can use them with your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac as soon as you take them out of the charging case.
Implementation is easy. Just one tap and the AirPods work like magic. They are on automatically and always connected. AirPods even detect when they are in your ears: when you take them off, they stop working.
You can adjust the volume, change the song, make a call or even get directions. Just say “Hey Siri” and make your request. You are free to use just one AirPods or both. When listening to music or podcasts, you can repeat or skip a song with a double tap.
With AirPods, you get 5 hours of listening time and 3 hours of talk time on a single charge. AirPods will keep you going, because their charging case provides a total of 24 hours of power with additional charges. Need a quick charge? You get up to three hours of listening time or two hours of talk time with a 15-minute charge in the charging case
AirPods are powered by Apple's all-new H1 headphone chip and use optical sensors and accelerometers to detect when they're in your ears. Whether you use both or just one AirPod, the H1 chip automatically routes sound and activates the microphone. When you're talking on the phone or talking to Siri, a second speech-sensing accelerometer works together with directional microphones to filter out ambient noise and make your voice stand out better.
