The Valentine&#39;s Day stamps feature cute animals that match the theme - e.g. cats, dog, squirrels and swans - in fun tones. The illustrations for the Valentine&#39;s Day stamps were made by painter Hanna-Maria Mainelakeus. He painted the original images of the brands on canvas with acrylic paints and a brush. &quot;The small size of the stamps brought its own challenges to the design. I trimmed the details of the pictures and paid special attention to color differences and contrasts. The images on the stamps retained a nice painterly quality, which was the goal,&quot; says Mainelakeus. Hanna-Maria Mainelakeus is an art entrepreneur who is employed by e.g. commissioned work, paintings, self-produced art fabrics and own clothing brand. He has also made large photorealistic wall paintings. The graphic design of the Valentine&#39;s Day stamps was made by Paula Salviander.
