Information about the magnesium mixed metal fire stick and its use: First, scrape off the protective coating from the surface of the stick with the hammer side of the knife. Tulustikku ignites a fire (wood, kindling, birch bark, dry hay, gas grill, kettle, etc.) with a few strong and slow scratches of the knife's hammer side. Works well even in difficult weather conditions: In rain, snow, wet and high in the air. Produces 2980°C bright sparks that can be seen from afar also as an emergency signal. Lasts up to 7,000 ignitions. Officially approved survival gear by the International Survival Instructors Association. Never scrape the stem with the blade side of the knife!
Tip for sharpening: Move the blade against the sharpening surface either in small circular motions or along the blade, making it easier to reach the right angle and less likely to scratch the blade. With Morakniv diamond sharpeners, you don't need oil or water for sharpening. Finish the work mark and any unevenness by rubbing with a piece of leather, and if one is not available, then with a rough rag. Oil the blade occasionally.
