Patruunatja kaliberit1- is a comprehensive work of information that compiles the history of gunpowder, the history of the cartridge, military cartridges used in the world, pistol cartridges, rimfire cartridges and information about the most important weapons in which they have been used. The standardized cartridges have both American (SAAMI) and European (CIP) dimensions.
The development of current cartridges and weapons began more than 300 years ago, and new cartridges are still being developed even though their basic structure has remained the same since the end of the 19th century. This book shows the development of the cartridge from the first paper cartridges for muzzle-loading weapons to the metal case cartridges in use today. In addition to the cartridge, the book always presents the appropriate weapon and information about the inventors of the weapon. Because of this, the book gives a particularly good picture of the entire cartridge and weapon history. This first part of the book series contains information on more than 250 cartridges, their development history, sizing and use.
