Guasha on perinteisen kiinalaisen lääketieteen käyttämä hoito, jonka tavoitteena on rentouttaa lihaksia ja tehostaa kehon aineenvaihduntaa sekä poistaa kehoon kertyneitä kuona-aineita. Hukka Guasha on valmistettu aidosta, yli kaksi miljardia vuotta vanhasta, suomalaisesta vuolukivestä, joka varaa erinomaisesti kylmää tai kuumaa. Mikäli haluat tehostaa hoitoa, voit lämmittää kiven kuumassa vedessä tai jäähdyttää jääkaapissa ennen käyttöä. Guashan tarkoin suunnitellusta muodosta löydät parhaiten soveltuvan kohdan kehon eri osien hoitamiseen.
THE GUASHA TOOL AND ITS USE Guasha is a traditional Chinese medical treatment, with an aim to relax the muscles, boost the metabolism, and remove harmful elements from the body. The Hukka Guasha tool is made of genuine Finnish soapstone, dating back over two billion years, which has an efficient capability to retain heat or cold. If you want to make the treatment more efficient, you can warm up the stone in hot water or cool it in the refrigerator before use. The carefully designed shape of the guasha tool will allow you to find the best suited point for treating each part of the body.
THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN RECEIVING GUA SHA TREATMENT 1. Drink a glass of water or weak tea both before and after the treatment. Rest at least ten minutes after the treatment session. 2. The guasha is a strong instrument for treating the whole body. It is totally normal that the treated area may feel tender for a day or two after the treatment. During the treatment and after it, heavy redness and even bruising may appear on the skin. This is usual as well, and it is a sign of increased metabolism. 3. The guasha tool must not be used on any skin areas with a rash or injured areas of the body. It is also forbidden to treat seriously ill people. 4. We do not recommend using guasha for people with extremely sensitive skin or tendency to bruise easily. THE BASIC GUASHA TREATMENT TECHNIQUE 1. Hold the guasha tool in your hand so that it is always at about a 45-degree angle against the area being treated. 2. You can scrape or rub the guasha up and down the skin. By adjusting your use of force and the speed of your movement, you will be able to produce different results with the treatment. The various shapes of the guasha also easily lend themselves to applying pressure or using rotating movements. 3. Strong pressure should not be applied on top of bone tissue, but the areas between and adjacent to bones are often good areas for giving treatment. Joint areas can also be treated using guasha. 4. Guasha can be used on dry naked skin or using a massage oil. Treatment can also be given with clothes on.
AFTER TREATMENT 1. Remember to rest and drink plenty of fluids, preferably water or tea. 2. Clean the guasha tool. You can use any normal house cleaning agents or clean the guasha tool in the dishwasher. 3. The Hukka Guasha is made of natural stone dating back over two billion years. Handle it with care, and do not bang it on anything or drop it on the floor.
