The completely renewed, twisted reflex tube makes use of the extensive development experience of bass speakers. The tube of the reflex duct has a slightly twisted shape, which breaks up the air vortices that are created at the outlet of the duct, thus creating an even air flow. This reduces extraneous sounds that were not present in the original sound, producing clean and accurate reproduction of low frequencies. From the special effects of movies to the atmosphere of a live performance, you will hear bass that is clean, tight and realistic.
Advanced YST II for producing amazingly deep bass.
Yamaha's advanced YST II (Yamaha Active Servo Technology II) combines the principles of negative impedance and constant current to drive the cone with even tighter control than previous models. Using an Advanced Negative Impedance Converter (ANIC) circuit, this system dynamically optimizes element impedance to maintain peak linearity. This means a more stable and accurate low-end response, not to mention the quality of higher sounds.
