Set in the near future, London is living in dark times. The state monitors citizens everywhere and the private army of a corrupt giant corporation patrols the streets. At the same time, members of a large criminal organization ruthlessly take advantage of the weak.
In the action game Watch Dogs: Legion, the player begins to build a resistance against the forces that subjugate the citizens and fight for justice.
Developed by Ubisoft Toronto, the game features unique game mechanics that allow the player to control almost any character from London. Open-world London is full of unique characters, each with their own life and backstory. Any of these citizens can also be recruited and thus controlled by the player.
There is plenty to choose from, from a secret service agent to a street brawler, a smart hacker, a leader of illegal street competitions, a soccer star or even an old retired lady. Each character also has their own attributes based on the character's background. When joining the player's team, these characters are selected for their own character class, with which the controllable characters can be raised in game levels and thus unlock new skills and features.
You can also switch between characters when completing tasks, and with that, completing tasks also varies due to different approaches. It is up to the player to choose, for example, reconnaissance with drones, hacking of devices, close combat, shooting, lethal weapons or perhaps stunning. These choices also have an effect - for example, a character using stun weapons is more likely to be attempted to stun and capture, while a player character who relies on firearms is more likely to be met with the same force. This can also result in serious injury or even permanent death to characters.
Watch Dogs: Legion players can team up with other players and form groups of up to four players in the online game. The progress in the game and the benefits achieved with it are included in both the single-player and multiplayer sides.
