Instructions for use according to the manufacturer's instructions
Preparation: The surfaces must be clean and dry before applying the product. porous surfaces such as untreated wood must be treated before use.
Operating temperature: Can be used at temperatures between +5 °C and +40 °C. The lowest temperature of the day must not fall below 5 °C during curing.
Installation: Glazier putty 683 is applied with a knife. When plastering the interior, you must take care of good ventilation (place the windows above the floor surface and separate from each other). This ensures that a thick film is formed as quickly as possible, which reduces the formation of wrinkles on the putty surface when the window is placed outside.
When plastering outdoor spaces, the putty must be protected from heavy rain until a thick film has formed. If possible, puttying should always be done in dry weather conditions, but never in direct sunlight. Take care of good ventilation.
Drying time: A film forms on the putty after about a week and is completely hardened after a year.
Painting: Linseed oil putty must be painted. With pure linseed oil paint, the putty can be painted - carefully - right after putting. The putty can be painted with alkyd oil, plastic alkyd or acrylic plastic paint no earlier than 2 to 4 weeks after the plastering. Paint 1-2 mm on top of the glass.
Cleaning: Fresh putty is removed with paper, turpentine or odorless benzine.
The putty is thixotropic and easy to apply.
