The 4-strand braided fiber line is incredibly durable. The tensile strength is up to three times that of traditional monofilament fishing line. You can cast even a light lure far, because you can thin the thickness of the line considerably. Loss of lures is reduced with fiber line because it is so durable and you can often "snap" the lure off the bottom. The fiber line is non-stretchable, so you can feel even the tiniest gills of the fish. The lack of stretch also helps the hooks stick to the fish's jaw better. The fishing line is colored yellow because it is easier to distinguish from the water and you can see the bottom contact and the gills on the fishing line. A warm recommendation for using fiber line for all fishing!
Be careful with the knots. Fiber line is durable, soft and slippery, so the only effective knot for attaching the lure and quick release is the non-slip knot. The line does not break easily with normal scissors, so it is worth getting serrated fiber line scissors. Watch the attached video for instructions on how to make a non-slip knot and how to attach a fake line to the end of the fiber line.
