Raspberry Pi Camera Module V2 Video Module, 1080p, 8 MP, Sony IMX219PQ CMOS, 15-pin flat cable
The module uses Sony's CMOS sensor IMX219PQ, which offers good image quality for videos and photos. The module also has good functions such as noise removal, and it can be used to adjust image-related settings such as exposure, white balance and luminance. It provides the tools to take good pictures.
The 15 cm long GPIO cable is connected to the Raspberry Pin Camera Serial interface port (CSI). When the cable is connected, the camera module can be used via the programming interfaces Multi-media Abstraction Layer (MMAL) and Video for Linux (V4L). You can also make use of downloadable libraries, e.g. Picamera Python.
