Thanks to Norolan, LED screens have already proven their effectiveness in trout and iron trout fishing. They have won competitions and pulled in record catches. Few people have ever tested a flashing spot for perch and we were amazed at how effective it was at attracting perch in our first tests. When the bait is good, it is superior, but when the bait is poor, it is too big and scares the perch away.
A light spot designed for perch
To improve the reliability of the catch, we made a smaller 85 mm version of the Winter Light. The new size combines the attractiveness of the light with a moderate size for perch baiting. It is warmly recommended for the dark conditions of mid-winter, when the ice itself and the snow on top of it make life underwater pitch black and the fish gather curiously to admire the light shade.
According to our tests, a longer pin is often better for perch, but just a light and a smaller speck is still not enough. We tested the length of the peg extensively and found that a slightly longer peg, around 15 cm, brings good catches of perch. Longer pegs make the perch more eager to take the bait, especially when feeding timidly, but it's worth trying even longer pegs, such as 30-40 cm, so that even the more timid fish will dare to taste the bait.
- Under the lure, you can use mockingbirds, marbles, bare hooks, worms, jigs, balance pegs - or whatever you like
- Light does the luring, bait squeaks the bite
