The Nankang SV-1 is a top-of-the-range friction tyre for Finnish winters. It was almost sensationally beaten by Goodyear and Bridgestone! The SV-1 was the quietest tyre in the test, the best in snow and right at the top of the friction tyre class for braking on ice. Only significantly more expensive tyres came out ahead, with the Nankang competing on equal terms. "The Nankang took the test team by surprise. There were no high expectations for the unknown low-cost tyre, but the tyre performed on a par with others... Although the final placement was average, the Nankang was still a good result.
