A medium-strength speciality coffee wherever you go. The coffee offers a freshly roasted taste with hints of berry and milk chocolate. The coffee beans are hand-picked and carefully selected, and are slow-roasted in small batches in an artisan roaster for a unique and rich taste experience.
The coffee comes from the Ngoma region of eastern Rwanda, from Sake Farm, where 2 200 farmers tend over 73 000 coffee trees. The berries are transported to the Sake washing station on bicycles, vehicles or carried on their heads - respecting tradition.
This coffee is part of the Women Coffee Extension initiative, many of whom are widows or orphans of the 1994 genocide. The initiative provides new economic opportunities for women farmers through training, with a particular focus on the different stages of the coffee value chain
