Christmas stamps through an illustration contest! This year's Christmas-themed stamps come from Posti ja Kuvittajat ry's design competition. The Christmas greeting from Finland is the handwriting of Sari Airola from Helsinki and the 1st class stamp was designed by Sini Ezer from Espoo. Paula Salviander is responsible for the graphic design.
The topic of the girl and squirrel sign was the joy of sharing. I was looking for a traditional Christmas atmosphere in the picture, but at the same time I tried to bring in something new and fresh with the composition and color scheme, Ezer describes. The girl and the squirrel sign is the first permanent sign of the Christmas greeting. As it is, it is also suitable for next Christmas greetings.
