Firstlayer LAPPI - live sensor rack
LIVE Sensor holder for ice fishing, manufactured by the Firstlayer company from Kainuu. You can attach the live sensor to the stand without the fasteners that come with the sensor. In other words, you don't have to remove the sonar's own fasteners from the boat.
Live sonar in ice fishing allows you to accurately follow and search for fish in the area. A very handy addition if you have an existing live sonar, so why not take the live sonar with you on a fishing trip. This mount allows you to rotate the sensor to all 3 positions. The sensor is easy to use, i.e. to rotate, it holds the desired orientation and height well. Remove the sensor from the boat from the mount, leave the sensor mounts on the boat mount. Install the sensor on the ice stand and adjust the right angle. Tie the sensor cable to the sensor holder with the three clips provided. The frame tube is solid, that is, it does not have a breakable telescope structure.
Use on ice: Drill a 7-8” hole in the ice, adjust the probe to the desired angle and the probe to the correct depth using the height adjustment above the tripod. After that, push the sensor and the ice holder into the opening and start sounding. Tip: You can use the sonar in the same hole where you fish, but it's best to keep the sensor on the side of the hole so the lines don't get tangled and you don't necessarily have to lift the sensor out while lifting the fish. However, we recommend that the sensor be lifted away from the opening so that the fishing line does not get tangled around the sensor tube during fatigue. You can also make the second opening a little further away from you and point the sonar sensor towards you, so you get a different viewing angle.
