EXPED Ultra 6.5R MW Mummy is a highly insulating sleeping bag designed for winter hikes, cold conditions and adventures where warmth, light weight and good packability are crucial. The Mummy shape reduces both weight and pack size, while the MW width provides additional comfort for larger users or those who require more upper body space.
The sleeping pad is constructed with SynMat Plus Technology™, where recycled Texpedloft™ microfiber insulation is laminated directly into air passages for smooth and effective insulation. The added reflective foil maximizes warmth without increasing weight or package size. With an ASTM-tested R-value of 6.4, the Ultra 6.5R is designed for use in severe cold and winter conditions, and performs equally well on snow or frozen ground.
The Ultra 6.5R MW Mummy is 9 cm thick and features EXPED's Comfort Cradle™ construction, with larger side channels for added stability and to help keep the body centered on the platform throughout the night. The three-dimensional baffle construction reduces cold spots and improves sleeping comfort even when temperatures drop well below freezing.
The cover fabric is made from recycled 20D ripstop polyester with durable TPU lamination and is bluesign® approved, ensuring a durable yet lightweight construction for demanding winter use. The chassis is equipped with EXPED's FlatValve valve, which makes filling and emptying quick and effortless, even with gloves on. The included Schnozzel Pumpbag allows for efficient inflation without allowing moisture to enter the chassis - an essential detail in cold conditions.
Despite its high insulation capacity, the Ultra 6.5R MW Mummy is lightweight and takes up little space in the pack, making it a sensible choice for winter hikes, ski trips, alpine adventures and cold base camps. A sleeping pad that clearly reflects EXPED's philosophy: maximum functionality, minimum surplus.
