The Ekohytte Frost freezer toilet sets a new standard in the dry toilet segment. Unrivalled value for money, a sophisticated design and above all superior energy economy make it the most desirable dry toilet on the market.
For the cottage or any unsewered spaceThe ready-to-use freezer toilet requires no water connection, no drainage or ventilation. All you have to do is plug the unit into the wall. Thanks to its portability and Plug&Play installation, it is the optimal choice for summer cottages and any space without drains. The oval 21-litre inner tank inside the toilet seat is easy and hygienic to empty into the compost, thanks to the biodegradable bag.
Perfect energy efficiencyThe design of theEkohytte Frost freezer toilet has paid particular attention to energy efficiency. Optimised compressor technology and extra-thick insulation make the toilet extremely energy-efficient. The Ekohytte Frost consumes only 0.36 kWh/day, half the consumption of comparable competing products. The thick insulation on the base of the toilet seat and the high adjustable feet allow the freezer toilet to be placed in a heated underfloor space.
From luxury to cottage styleEkohytte Frost stands out from the competition thanks to its beautiful and minimalist design. The insulated seat ring and the soft-close lid complete the comfort of use. A hot gas pipe underneath the seat ring, using the compressor's waste heat, heats the seat ring when the appliance is running. The compact and well-insulated unit does not run unnecessarily and is quiet when running.
Compact and durableDespite its compact size, the Ekohytte Frost is ergonomic to use and very sturdy. Its mono-structured ABS plastic body is lightweight and durable.

Before use - After removing the product from its packaging, check that there is no damage. Contact your dealer if you notice any damage.
- Keep the device in its normal position for at least half an hour. Any oil that may have leaked into the pipe during transport will then drain back into the compressor.
- The unit has adjustable feet. Before use, adjust them so that the toilet is firmly in a horizontal position.
- The toilet seat is intended for compostable waste, including toilet paper. Do not place anything that will not compost, such as garbage, bandages, chemicals, detergents, matches, ashes and tobacco butts.
Placement The toilet should be placed in a warm indoor area. It can be used in a floor heated room as it has a thick base insulation and high feet. Heat increases the electricity consumption of the appliance, so we do not recommend placing it in the immediate vicinity of a radiator or other heat source. The optimum room temperature is +10 to +22 degrees Celsius, with a maximum of +30 degrees Celsius. The toilet seat should be placed horizontally and adjusted to be stable by means of its feet.
Use- Press the bottom of the bio-bag against the bottom of the bowl and turn the ends of the bio-bag over the bowl so that the bowl can be dropped into the toilet seat
- .Check that the handle of the bucket is on the inside so that the seat ring and the lid fit snugly
- Plug the toilet seat into the wall and turn on the power to the toilet seat with the switch until the green indicator light comes on
Wait about an hour before use
Emptying- When the bucket is about 2/3 full, the bio-bag should be replaced
- Turn the top edges of the bio-bag into the container and lift the container off the seat
- Compost the waste in a household or garden waste composter with plenty of bedding before emptying the waste
- Rip the surface of the bag e.g.
- Cover the surface of the bin with a pitchfork and cover with a layer of litter
- Check the edges of the bucket basin for ice build-up. If necessary, melt the ice and dry the walls.
- Place a new sack in place
Use of drying agentsThere is no need to use drying agents in the toilet. Dryers should only be added for post-composting.
CleaningClean the Ekohytte by wiping with a damp cloth. You can use any all-purpose household cleaner. You can remove the dish from the seat and wash it in water. Dry it before putting it back in place. Do not use water to clean the back wall. Clean it once a year by vacuuming.
Longer use- Remove the appliance from the socket
