The Benelli 828S Black A.I. is Benelli's new over-and-under shotgun equipped with A.I. technology. A.I. stands for Advanced Impact and refers to a completely redesigned barrel profile and new chokes. This combination of barrel and chokes achieves longer shooting distances, faster shot patterns, and deeper penetration. The barrel bore is between 19.6 and 19.8 mm. The standard delivery includes five 10 cm long A.I. interchangeable chokes.
In addition to A.I. technology, the gun has several other significant and impressive features. The rear stock features Benelli's patented Progressive Comfort recoil reduction system, which significantly reduces recoil, muzzle rise, and makes it easier to re-aim.
The Lock Plate locking mechanism, with its simple but ingenious design, ensures a strong, reliable lock, eliminating stress on the lock body. Benelli's O&U locking mechanism is particularly durable. The gun has impulse-activated ejectors, which means there is no mechanical connection between the trigger mechanism and the front sight.
The model features a stylish matte black anodized ergal receiver and stunning grade 3 oil-treated walnut stocks and a detachable trigger mechanism. The rifle is highly customizable to suit the individual measurements of each user. The rifle is delivered in a plastic rifle case. 10-year warranty upon registration (does not apply to wooden parts).

The safety catch and barrel selector are located on the neck of the rifle. The safety catch is either manual or automatic, depending on your choice. The rifle is delivered with a manual safety catch. An automatic safety catch can be added by adding a spring (included in delivery) to the trigger mechanism.
Replaceable polyurethane cheek piece and butt plate.
Standard pull length 345 mm (LOP). Pull length adjustable between 345 mm and 385 mm with optional butt plates, extension pieces, and a longer rear stock. On 828 S models, the drawbar length can be increased up to 410 mm.
Progressive Comfort recoil damping system.
The rear stock drop and side tilt can be adjusted using the rear adjustment pieces included as standard. The factory settings for stock drop and side tilt are: drop 55 mm and side tilt 6 mm to the right. Other drop options: 42.5 / 45 / 47.5 / 50 / 52.5 / 57.5 / 60 / 62.5 / 65 mm Other windage options: 6 mm left / 3 mm left / 3 mm right.
