Rules for Prize Draws and Competitions
The organizer of Kärkkäinen’s prize draws, competitions, and other marketing activities is Kärkkäinen Oy (hereinafter the “Organizer”). The validity period of each prize draw or competition and any draw- or competition-specific rules are announced in connection with each individual draw or competition.
Social Media Platforms – We organize prize draws on Kärkkäinen’s Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok pages, awarding various product prizes that are specified separately for each draw. Participation in the draws requires following Kärkkäinen’s account on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, commenting, or taking the action specified separately for each draw.
Kärkkäinen Online Store Prize Draws – In Kärkkäinen’s online store, we draw main prizes, instant prizes, and discount codes among participants who have played the wheel-of-fortune game or another game and submitted their contact details.
Processing of Personal Data – The winner is required to provide their contact details to the organizer. The organizer collects only the necessary contact information from winners for the purpose of delivering the prize. By participating in the prize draw, the participant grants the organizer the right to publish the winner’s name in any media without separate consent or compensation.
By participating in a prize draw organized in the online store, you will also subscribe to Kärkkäinen’s newsletter. The newsletter can be canceled at any time. The email address may also be used for targeting Kärkkäinen’s marketing in digital advertising channels. More information about the processing of personal data can be found in the Privacy Policy.
Participation – Participation in the prize draw is free of charge. Participation is only permitted under one’s own name. All natural persons residing in Finland may participate, excluding employees of the Kärkkäinen Group and their family members.
Prizes – Winners will be notified of a prize draw or competition win personally by email or via Kärkkäinen’s official social media accounts. The prize will be sent to the email address or home address provided by the winner. An unused prize or part thereof will not be compensated, and prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. The organizer reserves the right to conduct a new draw if the winner’s contact details are incomplete or if the winner cannot be reached within one month of the initial contact.
Other Terms – The organizer is not responsible for any damage that may arise from participation, receiving the prize, or using it. The organizer and the technical implementer are not responsible for issues caused by third parties, such as problems with internet connections or technical changes or outages in social media services. The organizer and implementer are also not responsible for issues caused by the participant’s firewall or antivirus software, or by the participant’s intentional or unintentional harmful behavior, nor for any indirect damages resulting therefrom.
Cookies are used on the prize draw or competition website to improve the user experience. A cookie stores an identifier that allows the user’s contact details to be pre-filled when they participate in a prize draw or competition again. Cookies are not used for other purposes, and the information stored in them is not used in connection with the prize draw or competition for any purpose other than facilitating the entry of contact details. By using the website, the user accepts the use of cookies. Cookie settings can be changed in the browser’s own settings.
Participation requires acceptance of these rules. The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the rules. Any ambiguities related to the application or interpretation of the rules will be resolved by the organizer. Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are not responsible for the prize draws. Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok do not sponsor, endorse, or administer the prize draws in any way. The organizer is responsible for the lottery tax related to the prize draws.
Finnish law shall apply to the prize draw, competition, or other marketing activity and their rules, excluding provisions on choice of law. Any ambiguities related to the application or interpretation of the rules will be resolved by the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify from the prize draw or competition any persons who have violated these rules or who are suspected of having used dishonest means to participate.
