Terrace Oils & Wood Oils

EcoPrima linseed oil

Linseed oil is an oil obtained by cold pressing from flax seeds, which can be used, for example, to impregnate wood, to make red mud paint and chalk putty, and to thin oil paints. Use EcoPrima Pine turpentine to clean the tools. Areas of use: Pressure-impregnated or heat-treated wood, untreated wood surfaces, precious wood surfaces, etc. Not suitable for treating varnished or painted surfaces. Use Linseed oil outdoors, for example, to impregnate doors, window frames, garden furniture, etc. Indoors, Linseed oil is suitable, for example, for treating wooden surfaces in the kitchen (cutting boards, etc.) or for natural moisture protection of dark leather shoes. Linseed oil provides effective protection against moisture and dirt, as well as a linseed smell, especially indoors. Instructions for use: Make sure that the wood surface to be treated is dry and the weather is not rainy. If necessary, clean the treated surface carefully. Remove possible mold with EcoPrima Mold Remover. Apply Linseed oil thinly in the direction of the grain of the wood, for example with a brush or a lint-free cloth. Apply Linseed oil especially carefully to the sawn surfaces and ends of the wood, where Linseed oil is absorbed most effectively. Allow the Linseed oil to absorb and after treatment, wipe off the excess, unabsorbed Linseed oil. Drying time, depending on layer thickness, conditions and wood quality, 1-3 days. Sand the wood surface between treatments. Depending on the intended use of the wooden surface, repeat the treatment 1-4 times. NOTE! An easily flammable material, such as linseed oil-soaked cotton, can catch fire by itself. Painting materials must either be burned or stored in a container of water. Since no preservatives have been added to EcoPrima Linseed oil, it is possible that blue mold will occur if the conditions are bad or the wood is defective.

EcoPrima 10 l paraffin oil

EcoPrima Paraffin oil is a pharma-quality, very clean product that is also used by, for example, pharmaceutical factories. Non-toxic, odorless, colourless, non-moldable and self-igniting. Areas of use: Suitable for untreated, previously oiled and heat-treated wooden surfaces. Use, for example, on sauna or kitchen surfaces, also on wooden objects that come into contact with food, such as cutting boards. Paraffin oil protects against moisture, dirt and grease, increasing the durability of the wood surface. The risk of cracks is reduced at the same time. Instructions for use: Apply with a suitable cloth, e.g. microfiber cloth. Wipe off the excess oil after a while. New procedure at appropriate intervals. When treating wooden surfaces in the sauna, you get the best result when you apply the oil to a clean and dry wooden surface. Warm up the sauna once so that the oil can be easily absorbed deep into the grain of the wood. After the surfaces have cooled, the treatment is complete.

EcoPrima 3l Chinese wood oil

Chinese wood oil is a natural oil that is made from the fruit cores of the Chinese Tung tree. The molecules of Chinese wood oil are much smaller than those of other natural oils, so it can penetrate deep into the wood. Because of this, Chinese pine oil has particularly good water-repellent and anti-decay properties. Chinese wood oil provides eight times better protection against UV radiation than other natural oils. Areas of use: Wooden furniture, piers, wooden parts of windows and doors, wooden parts of boats (above the waterline), etc. Suitable for processing all kinds of wood: pressure-saturated or non-saturated wood, precious wood; for the protection of untreated or previously treated wood. Instructions for use: Remove any mold from the treated surface with EcoPrima Mold Remover. Brush the cleaned wood surface with Chinese wood oil until the wood no longer absorbs the oil. The oil is absorbed into the substrate and does not form a sticky surface. After a few minutes, wipe off the excess oil with a rag or sponge. May cause an allergic skin reaction. May be fatal if swallowed and inhaled. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking.

Under normal conditions, the treated surface reaches wear resistance after about a week. Pressure-impregnated wood is often damp, so we recommend its surface treatment six months after installation at the earliest.
