The main focus of the domestic Christmas stamps are the gingerbread men who have come to life and gone skating in the landscape, where you can of course also see a gingerbread house and Christmas trees.
The design of the stamps was e.g. an educational project for Nina Kuu, who made large wall paintings. "I have never illustrated anything so small and at the same time significant. My style is very detailed and rich, so the Illustrations had to be reduced and reduced. In the third round of drafts, we started to get to the core of the stamp format."
Nina Kuu says she loves Christmas herself. "Christmas is the most important calendar holiday for me, when we spend time together. We usually gather with our siblings and our families in Vaasa to visit our parents.
Our Christmas traditions have remained the same year after year. The most wonderful thing is to see and sympathize with the children's joy and the tickling feeling of excitement on the eve, when the goat arrives and the gifts are distributed."
