EWF is a DAB+ broadcast network-based alerting system that sends warning messages to EWF-capable DAB+ radios in the event of a disaster, unhindered and in seconds.
The radios switch to alert mode from either the current programme or standby mode, warning the listener of potential danger*.
The 2.4-inch (6.1 cm) TFT colour display shows useful background information in sharp detail.
UPnP, line-in and USB media support allows the DIRA M 11i+ to play music files in a wide range of formats and from a variety of sources.

To receive test alerts through EWF in addition to actual emergency alerts, please set your DIRA M 11i+ to the following:
Open the menu
Open the "SYSTEM" menu item.
Go to the "EWF Settings" subsection.
Under "ON/OFF", activate "Alarm+Test ON".
Under "Configure Journaline", you can also activate the text service for alert messages.
