Deep in the jungle lives a sweet baby elephant named Elli. Elli is a cheerful, energetic and curious little elephant. But one day, something unexpected happened: she got tangled in the branches of a jungle tree. Now she needs help. You must approach her gently, because Elli is holding her breath and feeling a little scared. Press the branches softly to help free her — every gentle touch tells her that help has arrived. Once Elli is safe, you can examine her tusk. When you press the damaged tusk carefully, Elli lets out a small, sad sound. Stroke her ear and watch as she pulls it over her eyes for comfort, slowly calming down. She trusts your touch. Place the new, healthy tusk gently over the old, injured one. When it clicks into place, it feels as if a little beam of light travels through Elli. And when she realizes she is safe and feeling well again, she bursts back to life! Her ears flap like tiny wings, her trunk dances in the air, and joyful sounds fill the room. It’s her way of saying, “Thank you, my friend!” Stroke her head and she begins to sing. Offer her food and she grew stronger. Caring for Elli makes her happy — and a happy Elli makes the world a softer, kinder place.
