NiSi S6 PRO Circular IR ND32000 (4.5) 15 Stop for S6 150mm Holder is designed for use with the NiSi S6 150mm filter holder system. It can be screwed into the adapter ring of the NiSi S6 150mm filter holder after removing the Pro Screw-In Circular Polarizer filter supplied with the kit. When used, this ND filter provides 15 stops of exposure reduction. Its 4.5 density creates darkness throughout the image, allowing you to shoot with a larger aperture or a slower shutter speed than is normally needed. By slowing down the shutter speed or increasing the aperture, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. ND filters are also useful when the contrast between highlights and shadows is too great to obtain a high-quality exposure. The ND32000 filter (15 stops) is widely used for shooting very long exposure times (usually 3-6 minutes in daylight) to create effects such as cloud movement or cloud softening.
NiSi ND filters do not affect the color tone of the image, provide true-to-life colors, and are made of high-quality optical glass (not resin) with a nano-coating to prevent loss of detail. By using a neutral density filter, the camera is exposed to infrared light, which gives images an unwanted red cast when shooting at a small aperture. NiSi ND filters have an infrared protection layer that removes the infrared light coming through the lens and restores natural, true-to-life colors.

Note that if this is used with an older generation S5 adapter, the S6 holder frame must be used together.
