The smoking box equipped with two grates can smoke a lot of delicacies at once. Can be used in many places, on an open fire, grill or gas grill. The grease trap makes cleaning easier. Made of stainless steel.
Place the smoking box securely on top of the fireplace. The smoking box can also be placed on the grate of a gas or charcoal grill. Sprinkle chopped alder chips or sawdust on the bottom of the smoking box as a smoking agent. More color and flavor can be obtained by adding juniper branches or 2-3 pieces of sugar.
Place the grease tray on top of the smoking pieces. Place the gutted, but not scaled, fish to be smoked on the grates, place the grates in the smoker box on top of the grease tray and place the lid on the smoker box. Salt can also be added to fish after smoking.
Smoke the fish for 20-50 minutes, depending on the size of the fish and the intensity of the fire. The fish are ripe when the fins and spines come off easily. When the fish are cooked, lift the box off the stove. A fire that is too hot can burn the fish.
Always clean the smoking box, grease tray and grate carefully after use, because the salt water that has dripped from the fish can corrode the stainless steel.
