About the product

The Makita 40V max XGT® cordless pipe sander is designed for professionals who need a powerful and precise tool for sanding and finishing pipes and other curved surfaces. The brushless motor, combined with the XGT® battery pack, delivers high power, which significantly improves workflow, particularly when working on handrails, pipes and welded joints.

Stepless speed control allows for optimal working with different materials: low speeds provide smooth and controlled polishing, whilst higher speeds are suitable for effective rust and paint removal. Constant speed control maintains the rotational speed regardless of the load, ensuring a consistent finish throughout the entire job.

The tool is designed for safe and controlled use. The electric brake stops the machine quickly, and the restart prevention function prevents it from starting accidentally after a battery change. The soft start ensures smooth operation and reduces vibrations at start-up.

The roller guides with raised edges minimise the risk of the sanding belt coming loose, and the tool can be used on pipes with a diameter of up to 125 mm. XPT (eXtreme Protection Technology) improves resistance to dust and splashes, ensuring the tool performs reliably even in demanding and dusty working environments.
