Ultra-compact impact wrench with carbon brushless motor and up to 180 Nm maximum torque. The machine has an easy-to-use control panel at the rear, with four different settings for both impact force and speed. The impact force settings can also be conveniently changed using the function button above the machine's operating switch. The selectable impact forces are approximately 20/50/170/180 Nm. Various assistance functions can also be selected from the selection panel. For drill-head screws, a setting where the machine first rotates at full speed. When the screw is about to pass through the metal, the machine detects this resistance peak and adjusts the rotation speed to a slower speed. This makes it much easier to control the final tightening of the screw. Two different settings are available for drill-head screws to suit different material thicknesses. A separate setting for opening bolts, where all power is initially used when opening a bolt or nut. When the bolt starts to twist open, the machine stops automatically, making the final opening easier to control and preventing the bolt or nut from getting out of hand. For long wood screws, there is a setting where the machine rotates slowly at the beginning to make it easier to control the start of the screwdriving process. When the screw starts to twist into the wood, the electronics automatically increase the power to make the screwdriving go quickly. The Makita XPT system effectively protects the machine against water and dust. Led lights around the machine's tip effectively illuminate the work area. The machine's lights can be turned on continuously for up to an hour at a time, allowing the machine to also function as a light. With the standard hook, the machine can be conveniently hung from a belt, trouser pocket, etc.
