Red light therapy is recommended to be administered for 2-15 minutes at a time per area, at a distance of about 10-30 cm. For example, about 5 minutes on the face is often sufficient, while the lower back or knee can be treated for 10 minutes.
Red light (660 nm) is part of the natural spectrum of sunlight, while near-infrared light (850 nm) is invisible to the eye.
