The compact size of the Healer RED2 makes it easy to move and carry around. It can be placed on a variety of surfaces, such as a table, sofa or chair. The lower part of the device has a tilting foot and the rear wall has high feet to ensure unobstructed air circulation when the device is on its back.
Red light therapy is recommended to be administered for 2-15 minutes at a time per area, at a distance of about 10-30 cm. For example, about 5 minutes on the face is often sufficient, while the lower back or knee can be treated for 10 minutes.
Red light (660 nm) is part of the natural spectrum of sunlight, while near-infrared light (850 nm) is invisible to the eye. Healer RED2 delivers both wavelengths, which penetrate deeper than the surface layers of the skin down to the cellular level. Red light penetrates the skin and near infrared deeper into the muscles.
Unlike UV or blue light, for example, red light and near infrared reach the mitochondria of cells where cellular energy production takes place. This activates the formation of ATP and supports the body's natural functions.
