Goldfinger, a unique product developed by Daler-Rowney, is a all-purpose, rub-on metallic paste. The paste can be used for all surface treatments, from the restoration of antiques to the gilding of frames. It can be used in almost every possible art and craft use; in stencil work, coloring clay or wooden objects, and enhancing textiles or furniture. The product is easy to use; spread the paste with a soft cloth and when the surface is dry, polish it with e.g. chamois. This gives the surface a beautiful shine. With the product, you can achieve very high-quality, professional-level gilding without streaks or stains. If you want to use Goldfinger paste for a finer painting, you can thin it with tinner (white spirit) and apply with a brush. Goldfinger is very filling, so one tube lasts a long time. Adheres best to porous or slightly sanded surfaces.
