DD Hammock independent base felt terrain pattern. This Underblanket is light, easy to attach and suitable for use down to -5C. Please note that coping at a certain temperature is very individual and also depends on other equipment in use.
Underblanket - the underblanket hangs under the hammock, creating a small air pocket between the underblanket and the hammock. This air pocket insulates the cold keeping you warm. In hammocks, the biggest heat loss occurs just below the hammock, because your weight flattens the insulating material of your clothes and sleeping bag.
DD Underblanket – the independent underblanket is 2m long, so it protects the majority of users very well.
You can see from the photo that it has eight links with DD mini carabiners for easy attachment. It is possible to attach the undermat with four carabiners, but all DD hammocks (manufactured after 2012) have side loops for a more snug attachment
