The Bradley smoker is a unique smoking cabinet that comes with a smoke generator. The generator burns burning briquettes for 20 minutes so that the temperature remains constant. This avoids the gases and acids and tar produced at high temperatures, which can affect the taste of smoked food.
With the Bradley smoker, you get clean-tasting food without aftertastes. Whereas the operation of other smokers must be constantly monitored and maintained, the Bradley smoker automatically and safely produces clean, cool smoke for up to nine hours without interruption.
Like the Original model, the Digital model is also suitable for both hot and cold smoking. It's actually exceptionally good for cold smoking because the smoke is constantly and evenly controlled. For cold smoking, we recommend using our cold smoke box.
The briquettes burn on an electric resistance (more information about briquettes and smoke production). In hot smoking, the heat needed for ripening is generated by its own electric resistance, which can be adjusted separately. So it is a different resistor than a briquette-burning resistor. In digital models, the cabinet temperature is adjusted from the control panel on the front of the smoke generator.
Using the digital display on the control panel, the smoking process can be fine-tuned and three different settings can be changed:
• Cabinet temperature setting: The target temperature that the smoker tries to maintain is selected. However, the display also shows the current temperature of the oven.
• Cabinet timer setting: Determine how long I want the device to run (ripening time). After the time is up, the cabinet's heating element switches off.
• Smoking time setting: Determine how long you want the generator to produce smoke. This time can be different from the ripening time.
The model BTDS108CE comes with six grid shelves and has a volume of 108 liters.
If you don't need such a large volume, there is a 4-shelf Bradley Digital smoker with a volume of 76 liters.
The front surface of the digital models is powder coated and looks like brushed stainless steel. The inner surfaces are stainless steel. As in the Original model, the cabinet is also insulated in these models. Additional shelves and jerky shelves are available for these models. Other accessories are also available.
The device is suitable for entertaining guests, conjuring up gourmet dishes at home or just enjoying the taste of smoked food. The easy-to-use Bradley Digital smoker is the right choice for many types of users. However, if you don't prefer digital controls, the Original Bradley smoker is a good option.
It is recommended to use Bradley's own briquettes or Hailuoto's briquettes.
