Vitatabs Lactoferrin + Iron + C is a nutritional supplement for the increased need for iron. The lactoferrin it contains is a natural ingredient of milk that promotes the biological availability of iron by binding iron to itself already in the intestines. Lactoferrin regulates intracellular iron balance by promoting the transfer of iron from cell stores to the bloodstream and preventing the accumulation of excess iron in cells. *Iron promotes the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin as well as oxygen transport in the body and the normal functioning of the immune system. Iron in liposomal form is absorbed effectively but without irritating the stomach. **Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron, promotes the normal functioning of the immune system and the protection of cells from oxidative stress, and helps reduce fatigue and exhaustion.
