Catching fly swatter with decoy light
Väinö Arcticspoon is a traditional "iron spoon" with a flickering decoy light in the middle. This combines a traditional fly swatter and a decoy light in the same lure. The Väinö Arcticspoon is 70mm long and weighs a total of 20g. Both ends of the lure have fishing rings. The lure light, placed in the middle of the flap and flashing in the water, is an effective way of attracting fish, and when the baiting is poor, the spotlight is a day-saver.
High quality spotlight
A special feature of the Arcticspoon is its pre-fitted spot light, which flashes when the spot is in the water. The light source is a long-life Led light that will last for years of use. The lure light is typically used for iron pickerel fishing, but its effectiveness has also been proven for other fish such as perch. Many people also rely on the traditional iron lure for bass fishing.
Suitable weight and size
The 70mm length and 20g weight of the flapper has been thoughtfully designed to work for a wide range of target fish. The slightly heavier than typical weight of the lure makes it easy to lower into deeper water and when swung, it makes an attractive swim.
Good colour chart
The Arcticspoo hockey stick colour chart has been thought up with 7 colours ranging from the more traditional metallic colours to flashy parrot. By experimenting, you'll find the most effective colour for your specific spots.
Techniques for using the light shield
Traditionally, the light spot is used with a morritap or a paint hook, for example. You can add a hook directly after the spotting, or use a longer peg. We recommend experimenting with the lure light with different lengths of pegs, different morri or hooks to find the most effective way to use the Arcticspoon.
