Linseed oil putty 682 is a glass master grade high quality putty made from pure linseed oil and the finest grades of chalk.
Used in glazing, repairing putty and leveling primed wood both indoors and outdoors. Can also be used to fill and smooth nail holes.
Linseed oil putty 682 binds tightly and protects glass and wood.
Instructions for use according to the manufacturer's instructions
Preparation: The surfaces must be clean and dry before applying the product. porous surfaces such as untreated wood must be treated before use.
Operating temperature: Can be used at temperatures between +5 °C and +40 °C.
Installation: Linseed oil putty 682 is applied with a knife. When plastering the interior, good ventilation must be ensured in order to avoid the formation of wrinkles on the plaster surface (set
windows raised from the floor level and separated from each other) when the window is placed outside.
When plastering outdoor spaces, the putty must be protected from heavy rain until the surface has hardened. Puttying must not be done in the rain, but also not in direct sunlight. Take care of good ventilation. The average temperature during curing must not fall below +5oC.
Drying time: A film forms on the putty after about a week and is completely hardened after a year.
Painting: Linseed oil putty can be painted. With pure linseed oil paint, the putty can be painted - carefully - right after putting. The putty can be painted with alkyd oil, plastic alkyd or acrylic plastic paint no earlier than 2 to 4 weeks after the plastering. Paint 1-2 mm on top of the glass.
Cleaning: Fresh putty is removed with paper, turpentine or odorless benzine
The putty is thixotropic and easy to apply.
