Ubiquinone (coenzyme Q10) is a fat-soluble, vitamin-like substance that is present in every cell of our body. Ubiquinone is formed in the liver, but its formation decreases e.g. due to age and some diseases and drugs (e.g. statins). We get ubiquinone e.g. from fatty fish and meat and from peanuts and spinach. The effect of ubiquinone can be noticed as an increase in general alertness. Vitamin E, known as the vitamin of youth, acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from oxidative stress and supports the effect of ubiquinone. The product especially benefits the elderly, athletes, the tired, convalescents and users of statin drugs.
