Kivipuu is a completely non-toxic, durable wood based on nature's own fossilization process. Thanks to that, Kivipuu is both extremely durable and fireproof.
- Kivipuu-treated wood patinas in sunlight to a beautiful gray within about a year. It does not need to be oiled, so it is practically maintenance-free.
- The raw material used is domestic PEFC-certified, selected pine, which is processed into high-quality Kivipuu.
- Kivipuu is produced on nature's own terms, and no chemicals are used in its production that could cause exposure even to sensitive skin.
- Size: 500x500mm, two 16mm support strips, surface board 16mm, total thickness 32mm. 0.25m²/pc.
However, as a natural material, the properties of wood, such as appearance, strength and other physical properties, vary. Depending on the moisture conditions, the wood may warp and crack, which is characteristic of late saturated wood, especially the scorching sun may dry the wood too quickly. However, the cracks often repair themselves and various oils and paints extend the life of the wooden product. Any color differences in the wood will even out in a few weeks outdoors. However, if well cared for, products made from ecological wood will last for decades.
