About the product

The Kaukovahti™-service uses the LoRaWAN network operated by Digita for data transmission. It is a comprehensive, low-power network designed for easy deployment. You don't have to worry about internet connection at the measurement site. Before making a purchase decision, you should check the LoRaWAN coverage in your area on Digita's website: www.digita.fi/iotn-kartta.

Deployment of the Kaukovahti™-service is quick and easy.
1. Create a user account and log in to the Kaukovahti™-service.
2. Enter the one-time identification code of the sensor you purchased.
3. The device will connect to the LoRaWAN network autonomously when the power is on – within 24 hours at the latest, the readings will start appearing in the Kaukovahti™-service. Nothing else is needed!

Sensor 8611 measures the temperature and humidity with a wire sensor. It is a good solution when you have to get readings from tight spots like ventilation ducts, building structures, pet habitats or humidors, for example.

You can set thresholds for the readings, and you will be alerted by email or SMS when they are exceeded. The licence includes 10 SMS messages per year, but you can buy more if needed.

The remote sensor information is updated every 15 minutes. Sensors manufactured in Europe have exceptional accuracy: ±0.2 degrees Celsius in temperature and at least ±2% in humidity.

All Kaukovahti™ sensors come with a 12-month licence to use the service. More time can be purchased in the Kaukovahti™-service. You can get to know the service as a demo user at kaukovahti.fi.

Measuring ranges: indoor temperature 0..+50°C (accuracy ±0.2°C), indoor humidity 10..85% (accuracy ±2%). Battery 1 C 3.6V included. Dimensions 63 x 114 x 30 mm, cable sensor 1,5 m.
