The Sunwind Lithium Heat 100At is a lithium battery with a heating membrane suitable for charging in sub-zero temperatures. 100 ampere hours at a full 150 ampere discharge current. This battery is for those who want a lithium battery for applications where long life, charging and use in cold temperatures are important.
- Fast charging
- Light weight
- Integrated Bluetooth
- Very good charging performance
- Can charge in freezing temperatures
- Integrated BMS
This battery consists of cylindrical LiFePo cells. The battery automatically switches to the heating film when it receives power if the cell temperature is too low for charging. For fast heating, a generator and external charger are recommended for fast heating and charging.
The battery has integrated Bluetooth so you can read the battery voltage and see how many amps are going in/out on your smartphone's Sunwind app. The app is called Sunwind LiFePo4.
The integrated BMS accepts low charging current, which is typical for smaller solar PV systems in the middle of winter. If the charging current gets too high, it turns on the heating foil and cuts off the charging until the cell temperature is above -0 C. The heating foil then consumes 7A.
The integrated BMS takes care of all the safety aspects of the lithium battery.
You can use more of the stored energy of the lithium battery compared to a traditional lead-acid battery. The difference due to voltage drop can be 50% higher power consumption in winter and up to 30% higher power in summer. This means that fewer ampere-hours can be installed when choosing a lithium battery.
When charging at freezing temperatures, the battery will first warm up to 0°C. If the cell temperature of the battery is -15C, it will take about 45 minutes to reach the correct temperature before it receives the full charging current.
The battery must be charged no later than 15 days after discharge. The discharge is cut off at 8 volts.
The battery is for single use only (single) The battery must not be connected in series.
Max continuous load 150A. Maximum recommended charging current is 60A. Maximum load peak is 300A for 3 sec.
Advantages of Lithium batteries:
- Fast charging, low internal resistance
- .High energy density means low weight
- Very good charging performance, high efficiency
- You can use more of the energy stored in a lithium battery compared to a conventional battery. other batteries, this allows you to install fewer amp-hours when choosing a lithium battery
- Choose a battery with a built-in heating film if charging in freezing temperatures is important to you
- Long life, can withstand a large number of discharges
