The STIHL MSA 260 C battery-powered chainsaw, part of the STIHL ALLPRO system-O W, part of the STIHL ALLPRO system, enables forestry and landscaping professionals in both the private and municipal sectors to carry out their daily tasks efficiently, even in cold weather. The saw’s electric handle heating, featuring durable and maintenance-free heating foils that can be switched on at any time, ensures a secure grip on the saw, particularly in freezing conditions. The heating power can be adjusted between two levels, the first of which is intended for temperatures of 0–10 degrees and the second for temperatures below 0 degrees. The saw is particularly well-suited to felling small and medium-sized trees and efficiently removing branches, thanks to the chainsaw’s optimal power-to-weight ratio.
The combination of high mechanical power and the machine’s light weight ensures that you can work efficiently and for long periods, even during long working days. The interchangeable sprocket, meanwhile, allows you to switch between 3/8” P and .325” chain pitches. This allows you to optimally adapt the MSA 260 C-O W cordless chainsaw to a variety of applications. To ensure the motor operates as energy-efficiently as possible, it has a 5-second start-up delay. If you start the motor but cannot begin working straight away, the motor will switch off automatically after a short time, thereby saving energy.
The oil sensor continuously monitors the chain oil level, ensuring that work can continue with as few interruptions as possible. This also reduces the amount of oil required for the job. STIHL recommends STIHL SynthPlus, STIHL BioPlus and STIHL ForestPlus chain oils. Other light-coloured, plant-based or mineral oil-based chain oils may also be used.
