Maintenance Kit 44 for a range of petrol-powered brushcutters: Regular maintenance extends the service life
The better the performance of your STIHL petrol-powered brushcutter, the more efficient it will be. To ensure your STIHL brushcutter remains reliable, it is advisable to carry out preventive and regular maintenance. The basic maintenance tasks carried out using the 44-piece maintenance kit are usually quick to complete and help to extend the service life of your brushcutter.
The STIHL Service Kit 44 for models FS 490, FS 491, FS 510, FS 511, FS 560 and FS 561 contains the following parts for routine maintenance:
- Paper air filter
- Spark plug
- Fuel filter
The long service life of STIHL air filters ensures that your equipment can be used for extended periods. Clean filters increase engine power, reduce fuel consumption and make it easier to start your petrol-powered machine. By replacing the paper air filter regularly, you reliably protect your brushcutter’s engine from dust and dirt ingress. Performance is maintained, fuel consumption remains low and you can continue to start your STIHL brushcutter with the usual ease.
You should also check the fuel filter to ensure that no foreign particles enter the engine via the fuel. Replacing this part regularly protects the engine and helps ensure a long service life. It is also advisable to replace the spark plug to ensure clean combustion in the engine and optimal performance of your machine.
You do not need any additional tools for routine maintenance. You can use the combination spanner supplied with your STIHL brushcutter to replace the air filter and spark plug. A cardboard hook is included in the maintenance kit for removing the fuel filter.
