The Skottsberg cast iron casserole is a kitchen essential, ideal for searing meat, slow cooking, deep frying, and preparing sauces. It has no synthetic coating—its non-stick effect is achieved by seasoning the surface with vegetable oil. With proper use, the non-stick properties improve over time. The pot retains high heat and distributes it evenly. Suitable for all stovetops, grill, and open fire. The thick, heat-retaining body releases heat slowly, perfect for long simmering. The lid’s inner spikes help recirculate moisture by dripping condensation back onto the food. Not recommended for acidic foods. Oven safe up to 250°C. Best used with wooden or metal utensils; if using plastic, check their heat tolerance. With proper care, this pot will last a lifetime. For cleaning, we recommend Skottsberg’s stainless steel chain mail cleaner. Hand wash only, without detergent. Not suitable for food storage. See instructions for more usage and cleaning tips.
