A unique story and setting
The game is set in the fictional village of Ebisugaoka, based on Kaneyama in Gifu Prefecture. Teenager Shimizu Hinako encounters a fog spreading through her home village, transforming her familiar surroundings into a nightmarish landscape. Players must solve puzzles and face grotesque enemies to survive.
Visual and artistic design
Renowned artist Kera is responsible for the character and monster designs, bringing a unique visual style to the game that honors the series' traditions while taking it in a new direction.
Music and soundscape
Legendary composer Akira Yamaoka returns to create the music for the game's "Fog World" area, while Kensuke Inage composes the music for the "Otherworld" area. This duo brings a deep and diverse soundscape to the game, reinforcing its horror elements.
