Kairiki 8 braid is a highly technical 8 carrier braid that uses an exclusive tight weave VT Construction to produce a smoother finish and reduced diameter. Perfect for all applications in both fresh and saltwater, the smooth profile casts extremely well and also minimises noise when running through the rod guides under tension. If you are the type of angler who appreciates the significant benefits that using braid can bring, them the premium rated Shimano Kairiki 8 braid is for you. Compared to many 8 carrier braids, the Kairiki 8 is noticeably smoother with a rounder profile, which results in longer more accurate casts, increased sensitivity and also reduces noise when playing fish. Available in a wide range of diameters in both high visibility (Yellow, Mantis Green and Multi) and low visibility (Steel Grey) colours, Kairiki will take your fishing to a completely new level. The VT Construction used to make Kairiki 8 combines the eight carrier strands together under a constant and even multi-angle tension. This enables each strand to compress and sit perfectly next to the adjacent strands, forming a more compact, rounder profile braid. The tighter weave results is reduced diameter, increased sensitivity and a smoother finish, which contributes to the high performance characteristics of Shimano’s leading braid.

The new Shimano Kairiki 8 is a redesigned 8 pole fiber line that is made in Japan and now features the &quot;VT construction Method&quot; braiding technology. It is a very strong and smooth PE line that is perfect for casting long distances. It is available in diameters from 0.06 mm to 0.42 mm and has a breaking strength of a whopping 46.7 kg. It has the perfect characteristics for open reel fishing in both fresh and salt water, as it is very sensitive and very smooth, which also reduces noise. Thanks to its smoothness and small diameter, Kairiki 8 is a great line for jig fishing, as it has low water resistance, and with a maximum stretch of &lt; 3.0%, it is also very sensitive.
