Front flap fitted with PALS webbing for the Varjelus Plate Carrier. Four rows of PALS webbing high; works well with long AK magazine pouches, which are typically longer (four rows of webbing) than standard AR15 magazine pouches (three rows of webbing). With typical placards featuring three rows of webbing, long AK magazine pouches tend to hang over the bottom edge of the vest. And as here in Finland we are still very much committed to 7.62x39 AK-based equipment, this must naturally be taken into account in the placards as well. It works perfectly well with shorter magazine pouches too, of course.
- Low-profile G-hooks and Velcro fastening
- The G-hooks are attached with One-Wrap Velcro, so they can be very easily replaced with Side Release-type quick-release buckles if required
- The grab straps at the bottom corners make it easier to open the pouch and tighten the Velcro fastening on the flap when closing it
- Split-bar type quick-release buckles, Tubes, ROC and similar can be attached to the side strap loops
- The 6x4 PALS webbing grid works well with long AK magazine pouches
